Shapes in Space

Self-explanetory really, but interesting anyway.  How did those hexagons come to be on Saturn?

Yes, it is "perplexing", perhaps "bizarre", but certainly not "unbelievable". Standing waves are quite common in rotary fluid dynamics. It looks like the wave patterns seen in Earth's circumpolar jet stream--only more symmetric, probably due to lack of oceans and continents below.
